Types of Assets
Assets are bits of code or stylized text that can be placed in multiple places across the website. When it is time to update the asset you simply update it like you do a webpage and publish it out. This will update every page that asset is sitting on with the changes and save you the trouble of editing each individual page.
Popular types of Assets used:
- Web Forms - Example: Request a Headshot (opens in new tab)
- Contact Info blocks - Example: See sidepanel or above
- List of Links or info: - Example: Govs Guarantee info on Govs Preview Day (opens in new tab)
- Source Code - special applications or embeds. Example: Web Calendar (opens in new tab)
Access and edit current Assets
At the top of the screen select the content dropdown and select Assets from the list.
Editing plain text assets works just like edit a webpage. Open it up, make your changes and submit the asset to us for publishing.
Forms are edited and built using template questions that you fill out.

Snippets are developed tables that help you display content in a different way on the page. When editing the page they show up as tables but when published, styling takes over to display your text in a different way depending on what snippet you choose. See some examples below:

The Freshmen Seminar degree requirement completed by most students is APSU 1000. The course is delivered in a small-class setting with like-minded students led by a faculty member and a peer leader. The interdisciplinary course is intended to support first-semester students and provide them with a foundation for university success. Emphasis is placed on student engagement, university learning success strategies, support services, library literacy, financial literacy, and academic and career planning. The first class meeting of APSU 1000 during fall semesters is on Freshmen Convocation Day.
The general education core is designed to develop critical competencies in written communication, oral communication, mathematical analysis, and critical thinking skills. Students at APSU select coursework in the general education core in the areas of Communication, Humanities and Fine Arts, Social and Behavioral Sciences, History, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics. While the general education core requirements for graduation can be met by choosing courses from each of these areas, some programs of study require lower division courses that serve as prerequisites for upper division courses. Students should consult the sample 4-year plans and confer with their academic advisors as they choose their general education core courses.

Using the snippet tool from your toolbar you can place a snippet where your cursor is located. The snippet icon looks like two arrows making a box.
Once placed you will see a string of text letting you know there is an asset. To see what the asset looks like, save the page and preview it.
