The Office of Public Relations and Marketing (OPRM) provides professional photography and videography to support Austin Peay State University’s brand. Our primary purpose is to create high‑quality, branded imagery for OPRM‑produced projects and news.

Assignment Guidelines & Priorities
To meet high demand while serving the University effectively, OPRM follows guidelines for accepting assignments. Any accepted assignment must align with the mission and advancement of the University and be intended for an external audience.

How to Request Photo/Video Support
To request OPRM photography or videography:

Review the photography and videography priorities.

For video projects: Review the University’s Video Production: Guidelines and Intent Form, then submit the “Intent to Create a Video” form before you begin production.

For photo projects: Submit your photography assignment request with project details, timelines, and intended external audience.

For videos, allow 5–10 business days for review; final approval is required from the Director of Marketing (Hannah Eden: edenh@apsu.edu).
Video Production Guidelines (At-a-Glance)

Branding: Use current, approved university logos and follow current branding guidelines; avoid outdated materials/signage.

Dress: Neutral or APSU‑branded clothing; no competing school logos; avoid large unrelated logos/text.

Technical: Record in 1080p+ with clear audio and good lighting; keep videos concise (2–3 minutes); include captions; record horizontally and center subjects.

Content: Focus on authentic student experiences; professional backgrounds; avoid specific years; avoid scripted testimonials.

Approvals: Submit rough cuts for review; final approval by the Director of Marketing; include filming location, on‑camera subjects, and intended use.

Pre‑production: Verify branding; scout locations; review wardrobe; prepare interview questions; obtain necessary release forms.
