Greetings! I’m Dr. Maria Cronley, and I’m pleased to serve as provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Austin Peay State University. For more than 90 years, this institution has provided a high-quality education to students while also enhancing the cultural and intellectual life of this region through programs like the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts and the Center of Excellence for Field Biology.

At Austin Peay, we value experiential learning, which seeks to take students beyond the classroom to gain the confidence and skills they’ll need to succeed in a 21st century workforce. We offer more than 50 graduate degree programs, and more than 125 undergraduate degree programs and concentrations, including associate degrees, and if you’re visiting this page to learn more about what we offer, I’d encourage you also visit our academic program page. Austin Peay also recently launched its first two doctoral degree programs – an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and a PsyD in Counseling Psychology – and we’re home to the state’s first rotorwing (helicopter) flight school attached to a bachelor’s degree.

At Austin Peay, we pride ourselves on being the state’s leader in higher education for military-affiliated students, and our Austin Peay Center at Fort Campbell, with its eight-week terms, provides veterans, active-duty personnel and their dependents with a convenient location to earn their degree.

Our outstanding faculty members are known for engaging students in the classroom and for making sure those students succeed. I’m proud to work with so many dynamic individuals who continue bring a national spotlight to this university through their scholarly activities.

There are so many more wonderful things going on at Austin Peay, and I would love to have the opportunity to share them with you. If you’d like to know more about the quality education we offer, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Dr. Maria L. Cronley
