Faculty Student Success Champion Award
The Faculty Student Success Champion Award honors faculty who have gone above and beyond traditional expectations to lead transformative initiatives, programs, or experiences — inside or outside the classroom — that meaningfully advance student learning, retention, persistence, or timely graduation. Recipients embody Austin Peay State University's commitment to placing student success at the heart of everything we do. In addition to student-centered excellence, candidates' commitment to mentorship, collaboration, and innovation will also be considered.
Eligibility

Full-time faculty member

All academic ranks and department chairs are eligible

Up to five recipients per year

Recipients are not eligible to win during the next two calendar years
Nominations
Nominations are made within departments and forwarded to one of five established selection committees, one per unit:

College of Arts and Letters
-
College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
-
College of Behavioral and Health Sciences
-
College of Business
-
Eriksson College of Education, the Woodward Library, and faculty not assigned to specific academic units
Each unit will field a Faculty Student Success Champion Award winner, provided there is a suitable awardee.
Selection
The individual receiving the majority of the vote of their selection committee is recommended to the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs.
Award
This award consists of:

$500 in faculty professional development funds or a $500 check (choice made by recipient)
