E-Dossiers

Your e-dossier is the digital record you submit as part of APSU's Retention, Tenure, and Promotion (RTP) process. It is assembled and managed in Watermark Faculty Success and reviewed by your chair, dean, and other evaluators at each stage of the personnel action process. Because evaluations at APSU are cumulative, what you include — and how well it is organized — matters across the entirety of your career here.

Faculty Personnel Actions Calendar

Deadlines for e-dossier submission and review vary by personnel action type. Consult the Faculty Personnel Actions Calendar for exact dates tied to your specific review cycle.

Building and Maintaining Your E-Dossier

Putting together a strong e-dossier is not a last-minute task. The most common mistake faculty make is waiting until a submission deadline to begin organizing their materials. A few practices that will save you significant time and stress:

  • Start early. Attaching supporting documentation to corresponding entries in Watermark Faculty Success is the most time-consuming part of the process. Build this habit year-round rather than scrambling before a deadline.

  • Save regularly. Watermark Faculty Success does not auto-save in all views. Use the download button at the top of the workflow screen to export a copy of your e-dossier for review and to maintain a personal backup.

  • Ask for help early. Your chair, senior colleagues, and the Office of the Provost are all available resources. Reaching out before a problem becomes urgent gives you more options.

  • Remember that evaluations are cumulative. Each review builds on the record established by previous ones. Keep your documentation current and consistent from year to year.
