Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Faculty Award for Community Service

Eligibility

• Full-time teaching faculty member or departmental chair

• All academic ranks are eligible

• One recipient per year

Nominations

A call for nominations is made by the chair of the Faculty Honors and Awards Committee each January. Each department, dean, faculty member, staff member, or member of the Clarksville/Montgomery County community may nominate one individual. The nominee's name and supporting materials should be submitted to the Chair of the Faculty Honors and Awards Committee. Supporting materials include:

• A current vita or resume

• A letter of support

Selection

The individual receiving the majority vote of the Selection Committee is the recipient. The Selection Committee consists of:

• Associate Vice President for Campus Engagement

• Senior Vice Provost and Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs (chair)

• Vice President for Alumni, Engagement and Philanthropy

• Assistant Vice President for Alumni and Engagement

Award

The award is presented at the Fall Faculty Meeting and consists of:

• A $500 check provided by the Zinifex Zinc Plant

• An engraved plaque serving as a personal memento, provided by the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce
