Vice Provost and Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs
The Office of Academic Affairs focuses its efforts on the achievement of the goals and objectives set forth in the University’s Leading Through Excellence strategic plan. Ultimately, the office strives to enhance student success at Austin Peay through the quality of our academic programs, the distinction of our faculty, and the innovation of our academic support services.
The Vice Provost & Associate Vice President’s area consists of the following units: Academic Services & Engagement (formerly Learning Opportunities Center/QEP), Decision Support and Institutional Research, Institutional Effectiveness & Assessment, Honors/PELP programs and Program Development/Curriculum approval. We lead multiple university-wide initiatives, programs, and processes of Academic Affairs to promote a dynamic teaching and learning environment, grounded in excellence.
The Vice Provost serves as the University’s SACSCOC accreditation liaison overseeing program accreditation efforts, leading the development of SACSCOC reports, prospectuses, substantive changes, applications, and other accreditation documents as well as preparation of site visits and reaffirmation activities.
