Course Evaluations
Course evaluations give students an opportunity to provide feedback about their learning experiences at Austin Peay State University. Student feedback helps faculty and academic programs strengthen teaching, courses, and the overall student experience.
Austin Peay State University uses Watermark Course Evaluations & Surveys (CES) to administer course evaluations.
When are Course Evaluations Available?
Students receive an email through Watermark CES when their course evaluations become available. Reminder notifications are sent during the evaluation period to students who have evaluations remaining.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Course evaluation responses are anonymous. No identifying information is directly connected to the feedback students submit, and instructors receive only summarized results after final grades have been released. To further protect confidentiality, results are not provided to instructors when fewer than five students are enrolled in the course or fewer than five evaluations are submitted.
Course evaluations are available near the end of each course. For Term A and Term B courses, evaluations open two weeks before the scheduled course end date. For full 16-week courses, evaluations are available near the end of the semester and close on Study Day. Students should complete their evaluations before the evaluation period closes.
Students receive an email notification when course evaluations become available. Individual evaluation links are also available through D2L Brightspace, and students may see a course evaluation notification when they log in to D2L. Reminder notifications may be sent during the evaluation period for evaluations that have not yet been completed.
No. Instructors cannot see whether or when you completed your course evaluation. If an instructor requests confirmation that you completed the evaluation, you may choose to provide proof of completion.
Course evaluation results become available to faculty after final grades have been released by the Office of the Registrar. Faculty will not have access to evaluation results while grading is still in progress.
First, check D2L Brightspace and your APSU email to confirm that the evaluation period has opened for your course. Evaluation availability is based on the course schedule, so not all evaluations open at the same time. If you believe your evaluation should be available but you still do not see it, contact the Course Evaluations & Surveys administrator for assistance.

Faculty can access current course evaluation reports through Watermark Course Evaluations & Surveys (CES). After logging in, select the Results tab to view available survey results and feedback. Reports become available only after final grades have been released by the Office of the Registrar.
Course evaluation reports from APSU's previous evaluation system, SurveyDIG, are not available through Watermark CES. Faculty who need an archived report should contact the Course Evaluations & Surveys administrator and provide enough information to identify the requested evaluation, such as the course, term, and instructor.
