The Division of Student Affairs assumes a major responsibility for assisting in the creation of a positive campus environment for students. We strongly believe that extracurricular experiences enhance and support learning and that the quality of student life is significantly affected by the availability, variety, and integrity of services on campus.
National research and surveys tell us that student success is directly linked to student involvement — we strongly encourage you to get involved! You will find that your college experience will be greatly enriched if you take the opportunity to become actively engaged both inside the classroom and in the multiple programs and services available at Austin Peay State University.
Take advantage of the more than 130 registered student organizations on campus. I’m confident that you’ll find something that interests you. Visit our Foy Fitness and Recreation Center; take advantage of our various leadership programs offered through the Office of Student Life and Engagement; volunteer through Community Engagement and Sustainability; be a peer mentor for other students; write for the award-winning All State, our campus newspaper; or volunteer to serve as a note taker through our Student Disability Resource Center. Whatever you do, strive to make a difference in the lives of others!
Student Affairs offers advocacy, wellness, diversity, involvement, engagement, spirit, recreation and leadership opportunities. We also guarantee you’ll make memories that will last a lifetime. But, more importantly, we are here for YOU.
