Ensuring your health and well-being has always been out top priority. SCS is continuing
to take every precaution to ensure that every student feels cared for and support
through our virtual services.
Welcomes to Student Counseling Services
SCS offers a variety of direct care services to students at Austin Peay State University
including individual counseling, drop-in counseling, and group support. All of our
direct care services are provided by licensed professional staff (counselors, marriage
and family therapists, and a psychologist) and/or by counseling interns working under
the supervision of a licensed professional. We have worked hard to make our Center
an environment that is welcoming, respectful of diversity, and caring for all students.

Student Counseling Services offers short term confidential counseling for individuals
and couples at APSU; the number of sessions a student may receive depends on each

Group Counseling
Students who have common concerns meet as a group with counselors who are trained
and have experience leading groups. In these small groups, you will have an opportunity
to share your experience around a specific issue and hear from others who struggle
with similar difficulties. The counselor will also offer strategies and techniques
for coping with that specific issue. Click the link below for our updated schedule.
