Quinda Harris

Quianda Harris, Ed.D., LPC-MHSP, MAC

Executive Director

Dr. Quianda Harris is an accomplished leader, Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider, and Master Addiction Counselor, known for her effective communication skills and ability to promote and enhance organizational efficiency. She has successfully led strategic initiatives to enhance organizational belonging. With experience working with populations across various sectors, Dr. Harris brings a comprehensive knowledge of the many challenges faced by a variety of communities. She is passionate about empowering individuals to realize their full potential. Dr. Harris’s educational journey, which includes a B.A. in psychology from Hampton University, M.S. Ed. in counseling from Old Dominion University, and an Ed.D. in higher and post-secondary education administration from Argosy University, has equipped her with an understanding of fostering student achievement beyond the classroom.

Sharita Brown, M.A., LPC

Assistant Director and Counselor

Ms. Brown is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Tennessee and Missouri. She earned her BA from Fisk University and her MA in Counseling from Saint Louis University. With more than 20 years of counseling experience, she is dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, authenticity, and purpose. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, she is passionate about supporting clients as they work through grief, strengthen self-esteem and self-concept, and build healthy, meaningful relationships. Known for her energetic, approachable, and direct communication style, she creates a supportive environment where clients feel encouraged to grow and make lasting change. She believes that everyone has the capacity to change, and when individuals are ready to begin that journey, she is committed to walking alongside them every step of the way.

Jansen Hudson, MS, LPC

Counselor

Jansen earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from APSU. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor who helps young adults develop healthy belief patterns. She believes that shifting thoughts and having the right perspective is key to living a purposeful and enjoyable life. She has experience in treating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship issues and adjustment issues. Jansen loves spending time with God and family, watching football, and practicing self-care.

Tori Vatral, LCSW

Counselor

Victoria (Tori) enjoys working with students who desire to learn how to implement healthy coping skills, individuals looking to improve their communication skills and boundaries, and people that need support. She loves all animals—especially dogs—and believes watching funny pet reels is a form of self-care. As a therapist, her goal is to help people identify their strengths and how to utilize those strengths to best meet their own needs. She believes everyone experiences change and with the right support even unexpected changes can be cultivated into opportunities for personal development and growth.

Tonya Wacker, M.Ed., MHA, LPC

Counselor

Tonya is a board-certified counselor supervisor in multiple states. She earned her bachelor's degree in Art and Philosophy from APSU, her master’s in Education and Counseling at Lindsey Wilson University, and her master’s in Healthcare Administration at Bethel University. She has over 30 years experience working with the military and veterans in behavioral health, resiliency and rehabilitative programs. She has worked with multiple populations and assisted with the opening of rehabilitative education centers for children with special needs. She has worked with the military to establish programs such as the local Paralympic Sports Club that assists ill and injured service members reintegrate back into civilian life. She specializes in writing curriculum, creating programs, networking, and providing brief solution focused therapy that collaborates with clients to create a therapeutic plan that support positive outcomes. Her approach is eclectic, eccentric nerdy, and tailored to the needs of each individual. She strives to help each person develop ways to cope with life’s stresses and process old triggers holding them back so that they can rediscover happiness and sense of wonder in the world.

Shelana Martin, Ph.D.

Health & Wellness Promotion Coordinator

Shelana holds a Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor of Science degree in Learning Educational Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She has experience in community-based research and presenting at conferences on topics related to student success and wellness. She has worked in research and youth programs, with a focus on creating spaces where people feel seen, supported and empowered. Shelana is passionate about helping students build confidence, develop their identities, and find equitable opportunities to grow and thrive.
