GOMB Day 2016 - Saturday, November 12th, 2016

Registeration has closed for GOMB Day 2016.  Some information will be posted here for participants/parents.  CHECK YOUR EMAIL REGULARLY as that will be our primary source of communication.  Thank you!

JOINING THE APSU "GOVERNORS OWN" MARCHING BAND!!
The APSU Marching Band is open to ALL APSU students, regardless of major or full/part time status.  In fact, about 65% of the APSU Marching Band are not music majors!   We perform at all home games, and a few other events throughout the semester.

2017 GOMB Membership is not open yet, but it will be soon!
Email the Band Director, Mr. Schnettler at schnettlerj@apsu.edu with any questions you have about APSU or GOMB!

MARCHING BAND TIME COMMITTMENT (ONLY 5.25 hours per week!)
It is VERY important to us that students have plenty of time for academics, job, family, etc.  Band is designed to be PART of your college experience, not ALL of it.    The APSU Marching Band rehearses Mon/Wed/Fri from 4:00-5:45, and performs on about 8 of the 16 Saturdays during the Fall semester.  Also, one week before classes begin, students are required to attend "Band Camp" (all day rehearsals on-campus).  

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ALL MEMBERS OF THE MARCHING BAND!
We are proud to award scholarship to ALL members of the APSU Marching Band, including our Color Guard members!  The scholarships are based on participation (not audition), and the amounts vary depending on the ensembles in which you perform.  For more information about scholarships, please contact Mr. Schnettler  schnettlerj@apsu.edu

MID-SOUTH MARCHING INVITATIONAL
MSMI 2016 will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016!  Director packets have been emailed to all Band Directors with maps, logistics, etc. please contact your Director for this information.

Tickets are CASH ONLY and are $10 for prelims (10a-5p), $10 for finals (6p-10p), and $20 for all day.  Children 12 and under are FREE!  

PLEASE NOTE: The stadium will be cleared between Prelims and Finals, you will need to purchase a Finals ticket to re-enter for Finals.

There is no reserve seating. All seating is general admission, first come first served.
