 GOMB Day 2025

GOMB Day will take place on November 15th.

We are excited to welcome ALL high school band students to spend a day with us a member of the GOMB! We will rehearse in the morning, eat lunch, and perform in the stands and on the field at an APSU Football Game.

APSU "GOVERNORS OWN" MARCHING BAND!!

APSU Bands are open to ALL APSU students, regardless of major or full/part time student status. GOMB performs at all home football and basketball games, exhibitions, and community events. Email Dr. Cory Schmitt at schmittc@apsu.edu with any questions.

If you are a current highschool student wishing to join GOMB in 2026 or beyond, please fill out the Future Interest Form.

Season Schedule

• August 30 AT MTSU (all day trip)
• September 6 AT Georgia (overnight trip starting September 5)
• September 13 vs Morehead State → 6:00 PM
• September 27 vs Utah Tech → 1:00 PM
• October 4 vs West Georgia → 3:00 PM
• October 25 vs North Alabama → 3:00 PM (Homecoming)
• November 8 vs Central Arkansas → 3:00 PM (Military Appreciation)
• November 15 vs Samford → 1:00 PM (GOMB Day)

MARCHING BAND SCHOLARSHIPS: APSU is proud to offer scholarship for all students who participate in any of our Football or Basketball bands. For more information, please contact Dr. Schmitt or one of our current members.

MID-SOUTH MARCHING INVITATIONAL 2025

We will not host the MSMI in the Fall of 2025, but we look forward to hosting in 2026 and future years.
