Study Abroad Video Content

The APSU Study Abroad Video Contest is open to current Austin Peay students, alumni, faculty and staff (faculty and staff are not eligible for cash awards). Alumni are eligible ONLY if the study abroad/international experience took place the year prior to graduation.

Submission deadline: February 5th 2024

Please ensure that the content of each video is appropriate to be posted publicly. Austin Peay reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event the offered prize is unavailable. No substitution or transfer of prizes permitted except as provided herein.

The student that submits the video that best fulfills the requirements will be awarded $100. Please ensure that the content of the video is appropriate to be posted publicly.   • Student can submit a maximum of 3 videos.
  • Must be between 60 seconds to a maximum of 3 minutes long.
  • Must be edited.
  • Must have a title page with your name, name and location of the program, and the term you studied abroad.
  • Must be uploaded to YouTube.

Video quality: Videos must be well produced and edited with good image and sound quality. All images, music, words and text should tie together.

Message: The best submissions will convey a message about what being abroad meant to you, and feature positive aspects of student’s experience, people interactions, cultural and educational engagement, and the APSU spirit (student wearing APSU apparel and/or showing off the APSU study abroad towel).

Send the link of your YouTube video(s) along with the Media Release Form to internationaled@apsu.edu. Please make sure to write Video Contest and your name in the email’s subject (i.e. Video Contest 2015-John Smith).
