The ANTS Center Staff
Ashley Kautz (she, her, hers), Center Director
Ashley transferred to APSU where she received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. She started her higher education career in Enrollment Management; there she worked as an Admissions Counselor to recruit students and help minimize enrollment barriers. Ashley completed her Master’s Degree in Higher Education: Student Personnel from the University of Mississippi. As a transfer student and former enrollment specialist, Ashley is eager to help students become connected to resources available on campus and increase student success through involvement. In her free time, Ashley loves to travel, read, hike, and do anything else that involves the outdoors.
Tina Sanders (she, her, hers), Graduate Assistant
Tina is currently pursing her Master's of Science in Industrial-Organizational Psychology.
She completed her undergraduate degree at APSU where she majored in Psychological
Sciences. Tina is passionate about health and wellbeing. In addition to working in
the A.N.T.S. Center she teaches mindfulness classes in the Foy Fitness Center on Thursdays.
Student Assistants
I am a freshman at APSU this year and I am majoring in history. I like to read, watch
movies, and play with my dogs.
Fun fact: I am a huge baseball and football fan.
Callie is a sophomore nursing major. She grew up in White Bluff, TN, and graduated
from Creek Wood High School. She has always been interested in the medical field and
will graduate in 2025. Her favorite hobbies are playing volleyball and she enjoys
spending time with her dog and four cats.
Fun Fact: Callie’s favorite season is fall.
Ethan is currently a sophomore at Austin Peay and his major is Radiology. He enjoys
watching science fiction movies, reading, hunting and fishing in his free time.
Fun Fact: Ethan can play the guitar.
Emerson is in G.O.M.B. and plays the trombone. Emerson enjoys drawing and playing
video games.
E.V.'s major is Mechanical Engineering and is technically a freshman, but took dual-enrollment
courses in high school so she is ahead of traditional freshman credits. They enjoy
metal, plants, and creating artwork, like characters. They also enjoy listening to
music and playing video games.
Jennifer is an adult-learner majoring in Sports Communication. Her goal is to work
within the NHL organization interviewing players and coaches. She was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO. and has spent the last 8 years moving
around the U.S. as a military spouse. Clarksville has been her favorite place to live.
Jennifer is not a regular mom, but a cool mom to three kids (13, 10, 8). She has been involved with the ANTS Center for two years, leads Adult Café twice a
month, is president of Tau Sigma National Honor Society, and writes for The All State.
In her downtime, she enjoys attending Nashville Predators games, concerts, and taking
adventures with her camera.
Julie is a junior who is majoring in Agriculture with a concentration in Vet Technology.
She loves spending time with her family, babysitting, and playing with animals. When
she isn't doing one of those, she likes to read or go fishing.
Trinity is majoring in Psychology Sciences. She loves to help anyone in need. She
is hoping to become a mental health counselor after she graduates. She has always
wanted to help others in any way that she could. Trinity’s hobbies are hiking or doing
anything outdoors.
Fun Fact:
Trinity is an avid Harry Styles and One Direction fan.
Tyler is a freshman majoring in business marketing. He likes playing all sports and racing cars.
Fun fact: He can do a backflip when nobody is watching.
