Welcome Transfer Students!

Welcome to APSU! We're so excited you have decided to be a GOV. We know that it can be a transition transferring to a new institution. That is why Austin Peay has a center dedicated to helping transfer students through the transfer process. Below you will find some opportunities created for transfer students!

As a transfer student it can be a struggle not only learning about where things are on campus or who they operate, but also understanding where some traditions originated. To help, center staff hosts Tradition Tours by appointment! If you'd like a Traditions Tour, email us at antsc@apsu.edu

TSLs serve as a mentor to newly transferred students at APSU. Once admitted, each transfer student will be assigned a TSL that will help them navigate from admissions to enrollment. Your TSL will help you through each step of your enrollment process by checking-in on you periodically. You will finally meet your TSL when you attend on-ground orientation. Here they will let you know what transfer events are planned to help you become engaged once classes begin. TSLs hold office hours in the center so you can stop by and ask questions, or chat with a current student! Find our current TSLs and their office hours on the TSL tab.

Out with the old and in with the new..

Switch out your old school's shirt for an APSU shirt! Stop by the center any time we're open and swap!

From Meet & Greets to educational programs, the center and our Transfer Student Leaders will make sure you're making the most of your time at APSU while meeting other students. Check PeayLink frequently to stay current on our programs.

We have created a Transfer Guide, TRANSFERmation, to help you learn more about campus before your first day. This guide answers frequently asked transfer questions, shares campus traditions, and includes information about the surrounding community.

Tau Sigma is an academic honor society designed specifically to "recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students." Transfer students who have completed one year worth of college credit and obtain a semester GPA of a 3.5 or above their first semester at APSU will be invited to join. Members receive a graduation cord. This is an active student organization on campus that hosts service projects, social events, and attend an annual leadership conference.
