Adult, Nontraditional & Transfer Student Resources
The ANTS Center is more than just a place to hang out. We also offer many additional resources to all students at Austin Peay.
Transferring to APSU or re-enrolling after a long break? The ANTS Center hosts a number of programs to help you get in the swing of things:
- Look for our Welcome Back Events at the start of each semester this is a great time for you to meet with other nontraditional and transfer students while getting acquainted to the Adult, Nontraditional & Transfer Student (ANTS) Center. Events vary from welcome back lunches to game nights!
- We also have Adult Café. A break in your day where you can meet with a peer mentor and other students who are all currently enrolled and also over the age of 25. Stop for lunch and conversation either others students who are also back in school after a break.
- Slice of Austin Peay is a program series aimed at helping you learn about resources and opportunities at APSU and in the community. We host three a semester that cover a variety of topics. Some past program topics include: Studying Abroad, Tau Sigma Transfer Honor Society, The Clarksville Community, and Joining the Honors Program as Transfer Student.
Don't forget to visit our Events & Programs page to see other programs hosted by the center. We host 30-40 programs a semester to help you get connected to campus and engaged with other students, faculty, and staff. A majority of our events also allow you to bring family members and are kid-friendly.
In a major that requires an entrance/exit exam or planning on attending graduate school? The ANTS Center has test prep resources that can be checked out for three weeks at a time. The following exams are available:
- PRAXIS I & II
Don't see the exam you will take? Let us know and we will add it to our library for you and other students!
We know the day you forget your umbrella is always the day it ends up raining. Stop by the ANTS Center to check out an umbrella for up to two weeks.
Save money and bring your lunch, commuters! We have a refrigerator, microwave, and toaster available to all.
The ANTS Center always has coffee, hot tea, and a culligan machine. Stop by and have a cup or grab a to-go cup and head to class with a warm cup of coffee.
Office 112A is available to those breastfeeding. Feel free to stop by when the center is open to use this space. This space can also be utilized for other medical purposes that require privacy.
The ANTS Center has a separate computer lab and quiet space. Utilize one of the many computers, printer, or study spaces.
