Admissions Requirements

Listed below are the admission requirements. Please note that the program only admits about 20-25 students in each cohort.

• Application for admission

• Application Fee:  $45 domestic or $55 international

• Official transcripts from all colleges attended

• Verification of Identity: APSU uses a third-party service to verify each applicant's identity after being admitted to the university. Identity verification must be completed before any student receives state and federal benefits, such as scholarships, grants, or in-state tuition rates. To verify your identity, please log in to your application status portal and upload a state-issued ID that includes a picture. Please note that no other person may submit this documentation on behalf of a student. 

• Bachelor’s degree, conferred in any field, from a regionally accredited institution showing a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75

• Demonstration of professional writing skills assessed via applicant’s responses to pre-interview questions

• Interview with the MHA faculty

• Military documents (if applicable)

Admission decision by department faculty will be based upon a comprehensive review of all admissions requirements. In some cases, at the discretion of MHA faculty, current and relevant healthcare work experience may supplement other admissions requirements (for example a GPA below 2.75).
