Dependency Tag Info
This is one of the most powerful tools in the CMS. It answers the question: "Who is linking to this page?"
When to use it: Always check this gadget before you delete a page. If the list is not empty, deleting your page will break links on all the pages listed.
How to use it:
-
Open the page you want to check in the CMS.
-
Look at the file path at the very top of the screen (e.g., /biology/index.pcf).
Note: You must use the CMS file name (.pcf), not the live website URL (.php).
-
Copy that path and paste it into the search bar inside the Dependency Tag Info gadget.
-
The gadget will list every page and Asset on the website that contains a link pointing to your file.
Link Check
While the system runs a link check when you Publish, the Link Check Gadget is a "Visual Scanner" you can use while you work.
Benefits:
-
Visual Highlights: It highlights broken links in Yellow directly on your screen.
-
Speed: If you have the Edit Panel open, it will only scan the specific region you are editing.
How to use:
-
Open the page (or the specific Edit Panel) you want to check.
-
In the gadget, click Find Broken Links.
-
Review: Broken links will be highlighted in yellow. Click the link text inside the gadget to see details (URL, status, etc.).
-
Clean Up: When finished, click Remove Highlight to return the page view to normal.
My Checked-Out Content
Just like on your Dashboard, this gadget gives you a quick list of every file you currently have locked. Use this to quickly check files back in without having to leave your current page.
