FSL Services & Resources

Full Spectrum Learning provides a comprehensive, individualized support system for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder at Austin Peay State University. The program combines academic support, mentoring relationships, and purposefully designed spaces to help students build the skills and confidence needed for success in college and beyond.


For Students

FSL's student services are structured around consistent, weekly touchpoints that build routine, accountability, and academic momentum.

  • Student Services & Resources — An overview of all required program services, including the FSL course, accountability meetings, peer and faculty mentoring, tutoring, and study hour requirements. Also includes campus and outside resources.

  • FSL Learning Lounge — A neurodiversity-affirming tutoring space in Clement 133, staffed by trained peer tutors. Open Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

  • FSL Study Room — A structured, sensory-friendly study space in Felix G. Woodward Library, Room 118, overseen by Peer Coaches. Open Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

  • FSL Sensory Room — A calming, low-stimulation space in Felix G. Woodward Library, Room 118, designed to support self-regulation and well-being. Open Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

For Mentors

FSL's mentoring programs connect students with campus peers and community professionals who help them navigate college life and prepare for their careers.

  • Peer Mentor Program — Peer mentors meet weekly with FSL students during their freshman and sophomore years to support campus integration, social growth, and a sense of belonging.

  • Professional Mentor Program — Faculty, staff, and community professionals mentor FSL juniors and seniors in career readiness, advisement, and workforce transition.
