Altivum Inc engineers artificial intelligence systems that empower people and organizations to adapt and excel.

Internship Description

Altivum Inc is seeking 1 intern to contribute to real client engagements and internal product development from day one. Interns will participate in IT needs assessments for clients considering cloud migration, work directly in live AWS production environments, build AI-powered generative applications using large language models and agentic architectures, and construct serverless applications using event-driven design patterns. Each project delivers tangible value to Altivum's clients or product suite while equipping interns with immediately marketable skills in cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

  • Career Readiness Skills: Critical Thinking, Leadership, Professionalism, Technology

  • Preferred Major: Computer Science; related fields such as Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, and Cybersecurity will also be considered

Required Skills & Qualifications

The primary qualifications for this internship are a genuine willingness to learn and the ability to communicate effectively. Technical experience with cloud platforms or programming is welcomed but not required; Altivum prioritizes curiosity, coachability, and clear communication over existing credentials. Interns must be comfortable asking questions, receiving direct feedback, and working through unfamiliar problems without predefined answers.

Workplace Culture

  • Workplace Culture: Interns will experience a startup culture defined by direct ownership, fast iteration, and close collaboration with leadership. There is no bureaucratic distance here — interns work alongside the founder and contribute to decisions that shape the company. As Altivum is in its startup phase, the intern will also experience the pace and demands of building a company from the ground up, including wearing multiple hats and adapting quickly to shifting priorities.

  • Benefits of Internship: Altivum will sponsor the intern's AWS Cloud Practitioner certification exam. If the intern successfully passes, Altivum will then sponsor the AWS AI Practitioner certification — providing two industry-recognized credentials by the end of the internship with immediate, portable value in the job market.

  • Professional Development: Hands-on cloud and AI project work with clear objectives, regular check-ins, and measurable skill progression under the direct guidance of a veteran-founded tech startup.

The internship operates in a hybrid environment combining office-based work with regular travel to client sites, where interns observe existing systems and gather requirements firsthand.
