JOIN THE APSU MARCHING BAND!
The APSU Marching Band is open to ALL APSU students, regardless of major or full/part time status. Please contact Mr. Schnettler if you are intrested in the GOMB: email@example.com and please list your: Instrument, email address, phone number, and high school attended.
INSTRUMENT SPECIFIC INFORMATION
ALL INTERESTED STUDENTS MUST EMAIL MR. SCHNETTLER WITH THIS INFORMATION:
-Name, preferred email address, cell phone
-A# (Your APSU Student ID number, its OK if you don't have it yet)
-Will you be living ON campus (dorm) or OFF campus (home) this Fall?
Woodwinds & Brass - All you need to do is perform the APSU Fight Song at your home and video it. Send a link to the video on YouTube, Dropbox (or any similar) to firstname.lastname@example.org you can also request a PDF of the music from Mr. Schnettler.
Percussion - We field a full Battery line of 7 snares, 4 tenors, and 6 basses - as well as a 14 member Front Ensemble! We are proud to perform on brand new Mapex & Majestic instruments. We will hold auditions in May/June 2014 (specific date still TBA). Check here and our Facebook page for a specific date and for updates! Don't forget to email Mr. Schnettler and give him your info ASAP!
Color Guard - The APSU Color Guard is instructed & choreographed by Matt Caudill of Eklipse Winter Guard! All members use school provided 6' flags - and we also have some members on rifle & sabre. All members must audition, we wIll hold auditions in May/June 2014. Check here and our Facebook page for a specific date and for updates! Don't forget to email Mr. Schnettler and give him your info ASAP!
SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ALL MEMBERS OF THE MARCHING BAND!
We are proud to award scholarship to ALL members of the APSU Marching Band. First year members can earn up to $950 their freshman year, and this amount increases by $100 each year you return. For more information on scholarships, please contact Mr. Schnettler email@example.com
GOMB Day 2014 - Friday, November 22, 2014.
All high school band students are invited to spend a day as a member of the GOMB! We haven't set a date yet for Fall 2014, but check back here soon!
We had over 130 students join us last year, for a combined band of just under 300 on the field!
