APSU "GOVERNORS OWN" MARCHING BAND!!

APSU Bands are open to ALL APSU students, regardless of major or full/part time student status. GOMB performs at all home football and basketball games, exhibitions, and community events. Email Dr. Cory Schmitt at schmittc@apsu.edu with any questions.

GOMB Day 2026

GOMB Day will take place on November 14th.

Registration is now open for all high schoool band students to participate in GOMB Day 2026. Join the Governor's Own Marching Band for a fun-filled day! Participants will rehearse in the morning, eat lunch, get a free t-shirt, and perform in-stands and at half-time with GOMB. More information about timing and sheet music/choreography will be published by mid-October.

The half-time performance will feature the music of Bruno Mars!
