Cellists of all ages and abilities are invited to join us for APSU’s inaugural Cello Day, hosted by Dr. Meghan Berindean. Cello Day activities will include cello choir readings, an improvisation workshop with Paul Nelson, and a masterclass and recital by guest artist, Professor Greg Sauer. Greg Sauer is Professor of Cello at Florida State University

 Schedule of Events

Cello Day LogoCheck-in will begin at 8:30 AM, and scheduled activities will begin at 9:00. The final concert will conclude at 4:00 PM. All activities will take place at the Music/Mass Communication building at APSU.


8:30-9:00 – Check-in

9:00-9:30 – Cello choir reading session

9:30-11:00 – Improvisation Clinic with Paul Nelson

11:00-12:30 – Masterclass

12:30-1:30 – Lunch (provided)

1:30-2:45 – Cello choir reading session

3:00 Recital by Professor Greg Sauer (cello choir finale!)




Registration for Cello Day is $20, and it includes a Cello Day 2018 T-shirt, a pizza lunch, and admission to all Cello Day activities. Please register by February 4th to guarantee your T-shirt size.

Directions and Parking


All Cello Day events will take place at the Music/Mass Communication building at the corner of 8th and Marion Streets on the Main Campus of Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. Parking is available on the street and in lots surrounding the building.
