Governors Orientation Checklist

Before you come to Governors Orientation, be sure to:

1. Apply for Financial Aid

To receive any type of financial aid – including Lottery Scholarships – you must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

It takes about three weeks to receive an award letter after you apply, so don’t wait

2. Apply for Housing

If you’re a single, full-time freshman under age 21, you must live on campus OR commute from the home of a parent or guardian who lives within 50 miles of campus.

You must apply for housing OR submit a Housing Exemption Form.

3. Complete Immunization Requirements

You'll need to complete the Certificate of Immunization, have it signed by a certified health care provider and submit it to the Counseling & Health Services Student Portal before coming to Governors Orientation.

4. Submit Final Transcript(s)

Be sure your high school, GED center and/or former college(s) sends any final transcripts to:
