Specialty Cards
The Govs ID Card Office creates specialty cards for various campus needs—from identification badges for students in clinical settings to access cards for contractors and vendors. We serve the entire Austin Peay community, including students, staff, and external partners.
Card Types
There are two types of specialty cards for the Austin Peay campus community.
Identification Badges (non-encoded) - $5
Photo identification badges for individuals who need ID for a specific purpose but do not require building access. These non-encoded cards are for identification only and cannot be used at secured card readers.
Common uses include students in clinical programs such as BSN Nursing, Radiology Tech, and Speech.
Individual and Department Access Cards (encoded) - $10
Encoded MiFare cards with a magnetic stripe that can grant access to secured campus areas when the appropriate credentials are loaded. These cards can be swiped at campus card readers.
Common uses include contractors, vendors, athletic partners, and other individuals who need temporary or limited campus access.
