Faculty & Staff Govs ID Card

The Govs ID Card is your official Austin Peay State University identification. It provides access to the library, the Foy, and your building during non-business hours (if authorized). You can also add optional funds to use at campus dining venues and vending machines.

New Employees

Welcome to Austin Peay! All new employees receive a Govs ID Card once employment information has been entered into the university's integrated information system (GovsSuite) by the Office of Human Resources and an A# has been assigned.

Note: The Govs ID Office does not assign new employee A numbers.

Employees may choose one form of Govs ID: either a physical ID card or a mobile ID added to a smartphone/smartwatch. Only one form of ID may be active at a time.

Before requesting your Govs ID Card, ensure your OneStop account is set up and you have successfully logged in.

A headshot photo must be uploaded and approved before a physical Govs ID Card can be printed. You can submit your photo online at your convenience or stop by the Govs ID Card Office (Morgan University Center, Room 207). New employees are encouraged to visit after New Staff Orientation or on their first day — our team is happy to help you get started.

Employees who choose the mobile Govs ID Card can complete the entire setup process online without visiting the office.

When leaving employment with Austin Peay State University, employees are asked to return their Govs ID Card as part of the university checkout process.

Getting Your Govs ID Card

Visit the Govs ID Card eAccounts portal and log in with your OneStop credentials. Link your account by entering your A#.

Note: The portal requires you to replace the "A" in your A# with the number 9.
Example: A00123456 becomes 900123456

Once your account is linked, go to the Profile tab and select Submit a Photo. Follow the photo submission guidelines and upload a recent headshot or passport-style photo. The Govs ID Office reserves the right to reject any photo that does not meet our requirements.

Photos are typically approved within 24 hours—check your APSU email. Approval times may be slightly longer during high volume periods such as the start of a semester.

Once your photo is approved, you can set up your mobile Govs ID Card or visit the Govs ID Card Office for a physical card.
