Faculty & Staff Govs ID Card

The Govs ID card serves as your official Identification card for APSU. In addition to being an ID, the card also provides access to the library, access to the Foy, access (if authorized) to your building during non-business hours, and, if you choose to add funds, can be used at food venues and vending machines across campus.

Govs ID Card for New Employees

Welcome to Austin Peay! As part of the onboarding experience, all new employees will receive an official Govs ID Card once employment information has been entered into the APSU integrated information system (Oracle/Banner) by the Office of Human Resources and an A number has been assigned.

Please note the Govs ID Office does not assign new employee A numbers.

Before requesting a Govs ID Card—whether mobile or physical—employees must ensure their OneStop account is set up and they have successfully logged in.

A headshot photo must be uploaded and approved before a physical Govs ID Card can be printed. Headshots may be uploaded online at your convenience or in the Govs ID Office. Our team is happy to assist you and help you get started.

New employees are encouraged to stop by the Govs ID Office (Morgan University Center, Room 207) after New Staff Orientation or on their first day of employment.

For added convenience, employees who choose the Govs Mobile ID may complete the entire process online at their convenience, without visiting the office.

Employees may choose one form of Govs ID: either a physical ID card or a mobile ID added to a smartphone/smartwatch. Only one form of ID may be active at a time.

The first Govs ID Card is provided at no cost. If a replacement is needed, a new physical ID card can be issued for a $20.00 fee. As an alternative, employees may choose to add the Govs Mobile ID at no additional cost instead of printing a replacement physical card.

When leaving employment with Austin Peay State University, employees are asked to return their Govs ID Card as part of the university checkout process.

Getting Started

To obtain your Govs ID card, visit the eAccounts portal. Login with your OneStop credentials, and then link your account by registering your A number. The site will require you to replace the “A” in your A number with the number "9".                                     *Example: A00123456 would be 900123456

Once your account has been linked, click on the Profile tab and select Submit a Photo. Upload a recent headshot or passport-style photo. Be sure to follow the guidelines on picture submission. The Govs ID Office reserves the right to reject any photo that does not meet our requirements

Your photo will usually be approved within 24 hours - check your APSU email. Please be aware the photo approval timeframe may see slight delays during high volume periods such as the beginning of a semester.

Once the photo has been approved you can set up your Govs Mobile ID or come into the Govs ID Office for a physical ID card.
