Read&Write (R&W) is a reading/literacy program run by TextHelp. R&W is an easy-to-use toolbar that hosts many helpful study tools, including text-to-speech, predictive writing, and dictionary tools.

Installation Instructions

  1. Download the appropriate version of R&W for your device:

    Desktop versions:

    Mobile & Browser versions:

  2. Complete the installation using standard install procedures. A device restart may be required.

  3. Activate premium features:

    • Sign into the program using your Microsoft/APSU account credentials (e.g., yourinfo@my.apsu.edu)

    • You'll typically be prompted to log in after launching the program

    • For manual login, go to Options > Account

Note: The application does not require internet access unless you are using the browser extension.

Important Note: Choosing any voice with Google or Microsoft as a prefix may cause Read&Write to malfunction. This note will be updated when the issue is fixed.
