As Tennessee's youngest city by median age, APSU is surrounded by a thriving community,
named as 2019's #1 Best Place to Live in America by Money Magazine. Set against the
Cumberland River, Clarksville offers outdoor activities, great restaurants, and local
theatre. Not to mention, we're just 45 minutes from Nashville.
Legends Bank recently pledged a significant gift to the Austin Peay State University College of Business (COB) Dean's Fund of Excellence to establish the Legends Bank Distinguished Professorship in Banking or Finance Endowment, making it the COB's largest corporate investor to date.
The proposed combined undergraduate tuition and mandatory fee increase of 3.0% is within the range approved by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC) for the upcoming academic year. Revenue derived from the increase would be used to offset the effective economic inflation rate of 10.5% since the last tuition increase in June 2021 and for the University's portion of the state's salary increase.
Starting July 1, all Tennessee residents ages 14-24 will be eligible for the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), which has allocated $15 million to participating employers across the state. APSU's current and potential student workers are encouraged to get involved, and they can earn up to $3,200 over six weeks while gaining practical experience.
