Our Mission:
The mission of the Office of Student Research and Innovation (OSRI) is to integrate research training across Business, Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, and STEM disciplines into the APSU experience. We aim to engage, retain, and promote student success through these enriching opportunities.
What We Offer:
- Student Research Opportunities: Find and apply for research funding.
- Faculty Support: Resources for faculty mentors guiding student research.
- Student Recruitment: Attract and recruit top students to APSU.
- Funding Initiatives: Secure external funding for student projects and inspire potential donors.
- Internal Funding: Manage the Undergraduate Research Enrichment Fund and Graduate Research Support Fund.
- Events: Organize the annual Research and Creativity Forum.
- Assessment: Measure the impact of student research at APSU.
- Honor Cords: Students who have completed research in accordance with the guidelines established
by the deans of all APSU colleges are eligible to receive a complimentary Graduation
Research & Innovation Honor Cord (GR&I HC) to wear during the commencement ceremony.
An email will be sent out on the following schedule for faculty to nominate their
students that have completed the required criteria to wear the GR&I HC:
May graduation - 1st week of April
August graduation - 1st week of June
