Writing Center Director

Dr. Johnston joined APSU in the Fall of 2021. She first learned of writing centers as a college freshman and has been able to work in a total of four centers (Lipscomb University, the University of Alabama, the University of Tennessee, and now APSU)! Dr. Johnston loves being outside (preferably by a body of water), going to yoga classes, and reading. She looks forward to seeing you in the writing center!

Lauren began working at the center during her undergraduate years while pursuing a degree in Hospitality. When she’s not at the center, she enjoys spending her free time doing puzzles, reading, and baking.
