About Us

Allie Johnston
Writing Center Director
Dr. Johnston joined APSU in the Fall of 2021. She first learned of writing centers as a college freshman and has been able to work in a total of four centers (Lipscomb University, the University of Alabama, the University of Tennessee, and now APSU)! Dr. Johnston loves being outside (preferably by a body of water), going to yoga classes, and reading. She looks forward to seeing you in the writing center!

Peer Writing Tutor (Grad Student)
Hi! My name is Annalycia, or Anna for short, and I am a master's student in English and also gaining a post-baccalaureate in Classics (Greek and Latin). I graduated from APSU with a B.A. in Foreign Languages with a concentration in Classical Cultures. Some of my favorite things in this world are my pets, comic books, writing, and playing board games. I look forward to continue working with students whether it be at the Writing Center or at CASE! I'm well-versed in MLA, Chicago, and APA!

Hi! I'm Claire (they/them), an English grad student in my second year. I graduated from APSU with a B.A. in World Languages & concentration in Latin, and I minored in Linguistics. I'm most acquainted with MLA. In my free time I love drawing, listening to music, and playing D&D with friends. Let's work together to become stronger writers and create work that you're proud of!

Hi my name is Adriana! I’m an English major with a concentration in Technical, Professional, and Creative Writing. I’m passionate about writing and plan to pursue a master’s degree in the future. In my free time, I love reading, writing, playing games, and watching movies. I’m also an avid book collector with over 70 special editions in my collection! I have a passion for creative writing and storytelling and hope to someday accomplish my goal of sharing stories with the world, either through written or drawn means. Hello! My name is Cameron (they/them) and I am an APSU alum as of December 2025. I have my Bachelor's degree in English, and a minor in Classical Languages. I have most experience with MLA and Chicago formatting, but have some experience working with APA. In addition to the Writing Center, I also work as a freelance novel editor specializing in the fantasy, romance, and horror genres. The longest book I've ever worked on was a horror novel with over 800 pages!

Hi, my name is Maddy, and I am majoring in political science and finance with a focus in economics. I have a goal to become a lawyer and go into politics. AKA I need some pretty good writing and reading skills to do a good job. I love to read, write, paint, and pretty much consume all types of media.
