• Freshman Convocation (MANDATORY EVENT)
  • Time: 3:30 p.m. (Check in opens at 3 p.m.)
  • Place: Dunn Center
  • You are officially a Gov! You will be welcomed by President Licari and your Student Government President Xavier Vincent. 

• Student Organization Fair & Block Party
  • Time: 4-6 p.m.
  • Place: Dunn Bowl
  • Student Organizations will be setup outside excited to talk to you! This is your chance to start getting involved on campus from day 1.

• Dinner and Karaoke with the Orientation Leaders
  • Time: 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
  • Cafeteria
  • Can you sing? It doesn't matter, this is all about having a great time with the Orientation Leaders you got to meet over the summer. 

• Govs Gathering (parents and guests)
  • Time: 6-7 p.m. (concert starts at 7:00  p.m.)
  • Place: Downtown Commons
  • Parents and Family Members, come hang out in beautiful downtown Clarksville and enjoy the sunset as you listen to live music. 

• Glowchella
  • Time: 8-11 p.m. 
  • Place: Intramural Fields

• APSU 1000 Class (MANDATORY)
  • Time: 10-11:30 a.m.
  • Place: TBD (Each class location will vary, you will be emailed this information before 8/20 to your student email)
  • This is your first day of class! You will meet with your APSU 1000 class and your Peer Leader will give you all of the information you need to start off the semester. 

• Lunch on Your Own
  • Time: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  • Place: Café

• Blowing off STEaM with the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics

  • Time: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
  • Place: UC Plaza
  • There will be pizza, liquid nitrogen ice cream, and “explosions”. Come see all of the wonders hidden in the college of STEM! 

• Student Organization/Academic Department Sessions
  • Time: 1-3 p.m.
  • Place: Morgan University Center
  • 15 minute sessions to learn all about the organizations and departments on campus that interest you the most!

• Campus Wide Foot Golf 
  • Time: 3-5 p.m.
  • Place: Hole 1 will be between Govs Terrace North and South
  • Golf Meets Kickball as you take on different challenges around campus. 

• Monocle Madness Carnival
  • Time: 6-10 p.m.
  • Place: Behind Library
  • A full carnival here on campus just for our wonderful students and staff. 

• Govs Outdoors Trips
  • Time: 8 a.m.-End of Trip
  • Place: Kayaking/Hiking/Climbing/Ropes Course

• G.O. Weekend Service Project
  • Time: 10:30 a.m.- Noon 
  • Place: Cumberland River Cleanup, SOS Garden Project, Park Cleanup.

• United Worship Service
  • Time: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

• The 2nd Annual "Govs Garage" Car Show & Meet-Up

  • Foy Fitness Center Parking Lot 

  • Registration is free at PeayLink.com and the deadline to sign up is Friday, August 19th. Everyone is welcome.  Admission is free and open to the public.

• Foy Open House (Get Rec'd)
  • Time: 1-3 p.m.
  • Place: Foy Fitness Center
  • Come hang out at the Foy and take part in short versions of all their fitness classes or make your way to the basketball courts to participate in different sports!

• Color Run (1 mile campus run or walk)
  • Time: 3 p.m.
  • Place: Intramural Field
  • Run/Jog/Walk around campus as you have paint thrown on you and then finish in our intramural field with more paint!

• Housing Block Party
  • Time: 5-7 p.m.
  • Place: UC Plaza by Subway 
  • Did someone say free dinner? Yes we did, come hang out with some of your peers while you talk about how excited you are for the first day of class!
