Austin Peay State University employees receive a comprehensive compensation package that extends far beyond base salary. This interactive calculator helps current and prospective employees understand the full value of working at APSU.

Your Source for Annual Enrollment Information

 

Enrollment Period:

Oct. 3-17, 2025

Starting Oct. 3, go to www.edison.tn.gov to review your benefits and make benefits changes. This enrollment window will provide coverage for Plan Year 2026, which will run from January 1 - December 31, 2026.

Remember you must submit any changes by 11:59 PM CT on October 17. If you plan to add dependents during your enrollment, you will be required to provide Dependent Verification

What's New for 2026 Insurance?

  • Health Insurance premiums are increasing due to higher cost of delivering care.
    • For Higher Education active members and retirees: Health insurance premiums will increase by an average of 5.7%.
    • Specific premium increases will vary slightly depending on the health plan, network and coverage tier you choose.
  • For 2026, pharmacy costs are increasing mainly due to weight loss and specialty medications. 
  • BlueCross BlueShield and Cigna will remain the health insurance carriers, and you can choose from the same four provider networks, but the monthly cost for the expanded networks will increase in 2026 for all tiers.
  • The Dental Preferred Provider Organization carrier will change to MetLife in 2026. The Dental Health Maintenance Organization - Prepaid Provider carrier will continue to be Cigna.
  • Beginning 1/1/2026 TASC will be the replacing Optum as the state vendor for HSA/FSA accounts.
