Alexandra Wills is the Director for Community Engagement & Sustainability. Alexandra has been with APSU for 12 years and has seen the growth and potential for student involvement within their communities. Alexandra holds a bachelors degree from Elon University and a Masters in Higher Education Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She enjoys backpacking, kayaking, and road trips.
Emily Seeney, Community Engagement Coordinator
Emily Seeney is the Community Engagement Coordinator, overseeing the Alternative Break Trip and ENGAGE LLC programs. Emily received her Bachelor degree in English Literature from Appalachian State University, and her Masters in Postsecondary Education from Murray State University. She enjoys spending time with her pets, exercising and is an avid reader.
Olivia Herron, Sustainability Coordinator

Olivia Herron is the Sustainability Coordinator overseeing the Sustainable Campus Fee and the Living Green LLC program. Olivia received her Bachelor degree in Strategic Communications, Sustainability and Food Systems & Food Studies from Miami University. She also has Masters in Environmental Science from the same institution. She enjoys science fiction, hiking and baking in her free time.
Jonell Nicholson, Administrative Assistant 2
Jonell Nicholson is the Administrative Assistant for Community Engagement and Sustainability. Jonell Nicholson has a Bachelor of Science in History/Religion and a Masters in Strategic Leadership both from Austin Peay State University. In addition, she has a Certification in Academic Advising and Counseling and currently working on another certification in Diversity, Inclusion and Equity. Finally, she is Title IV certified as an Investigator Writer and Advisor. Her passions are teaching Zumba and all cardio dance. Her most important treasures are her two grandchildren.
Karlysha Huffin, AmeriCorps VISTA

Karlysha Huffin is the SOS Food Pantry Coordinator and VISTA worker for the Community Engagement and Sustainability. Karlysha Huffin has a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Sam Houston State University and also has an Associate of Science from Mountain View College. Her passion is to serve others and helping out in her community.
Claire Layne, AmeriCorps VISTA

Claire Layne is the Financial Literacy Coordinator & VISTA worker for the Community Engagement and Sustainability. Claire Layne received both her Associate of Science in Liberal Arts & Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Animation + VFX (2021) through Austin Peay State University. Her goal is to assist & educate APSU students on their financial applications so they can achieve long-term success with their college finances before & after graduation. She is passionate about character design/ animation, hiking, & exploring new locations.
