We are excited that you have chosen to attend Austin Peay State University. You and your family probably have a lot of questions about APSU and college life in general. During Govs R.O.W., we'll answer your questions, introduce you to academic and support services, show you how to get involved on campus and help you register for classes.
Some Frequently Asked Questions we receive:
During Govs R.O.W., you will take part in academic advising and work with students to register for classes. You'll walk away from Govs R.O.W. with your student ID card, valuable information on how to navigate APSU and you fall class schedule, complete with course titles, days and times.
For Freshman: Remember, if you're coming to APSU with fewer than 12 college credit-hours, you are considered a freshman. Govs R.O.W. is the only way new APSU freshman can register for classes for fall semester. When you return for Freshman Orientation (APEX) in August, you will be a comfortable, confident APSU student.
For Transfers: If you are coming to APSU with more than 12 college credit hours, you are considered a transfer student. You have the option of coming to campus for Transfer R.O.W., or completing the Online Orientation.
To login and register for Govs R.O.W. you must be admitted to the university. You will utilize your AP OneStop username and password to login on the R.O.W. Registration page. If you have forgotten your AP OneStop username and password, please consult your acceptance letter or contact the Office of Admissions at 931-221-7661 for further assistance.
The Morgan University Center (UC) main floor, or second floor, is where you will need to check-in for Govs R.O.W. Please arrive no later than 8:00am for check-in. Follow the red Welcome signs and the directions from our R.O.W. Team Members, who are in "Be A Gov" shirts.

Yes! We strongly encourage parents and family members to attend. Their support, understanding and encouragement can affect your success as a student tremendously.
While you meet with advisers and register for classes, your family members will attend separate sessions that address their particular questions or concerns. Parents may not attend the academic advising session. The cost to attend is $20 per guest, payable by cash or check upon arrival at Govs R.O.W. The guest fee covers lunch and materials.
Note: Due to the nature of Govs R.O.W., children and pets (with the exception of service animals) should not attend.
Yes, you must attend every activity in order to register for classes at the end of the Welcome session.
Several one-day Govs R.O.W. sessions are offered in June, July and August. Winter R.O.W. dates are offered in December and January. Register for the earliest date possible. Attending R.O.W. early will give you more class options, and help you to get your prefered schedule. Letters will be sent by mail from the Office of Admissions with specific information you need in order to register for a Summer or Winter R.O.W. session. Please review the letter carefully.
Follow the Govs R.O.W. signs to Eighth Street and Marion Street. The large parking lot, commonly known as the Music/Mass Communications parking lot, is also next to the Governors Stadium. You will also see our R.O.W. Team Members in "Be A Gov" shirts to help guide you to APSU!

For students, the fee for GOVS R.O.W. will be billed automatically to your student account, appearing on your tuition and fees statement as a "new student" fee. New student fees covers all of the events that you attend as a new student, including GOVS R.O.W.
For Parents and Guests, the cost to attend is $20 per guest. This fee can be paid by cash or check only upon arrival at GOVS R.O.W. or by debit/credit card during your registration. The guest fee covers lunch and materials.
