Charde' Hudspeth
|
Charde' Hudspeth joined the Austin Peay community in 2021, joining the Student Success Team in 2024. Before Student Success, she was an Academic Advisor in the Department of Athletics, providing academic support to the football and spirit team student-athletes. Prior to Austin Peay, Charde' was an Academic Advisor and Student Services Coordinator for the Department of Athletics at Murray State University. She is also an adjunct instructor for UNIV 1000, APSU 3010, and COMM 2045. Charde' enjoys helping her students achieve their goals as they navigate through their college journey.

George Watt |
George Watt has joined the student success as an advisor since November 2020. He works with students in the College of Behavior Science. He has been advising students since 2006 and has been in education since 2004. He has been an instructor as well has worked in the financial industry, retail and a non-profit museum. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Management at Davenport University in Michigan. He also earned his Master of Art in Organizational Management at the University of Phoenix and his Master of Military History at Norwich University.

Sabrina Marsh

Before joining University Student Success, Sabrina held multiple roles across campus over the years, including; Student Learning Assistant, Tutor, Graduate Teaching Assistant, and Visiting Assistant Professor. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration in 2019 and a Master of Science in Public Health Education in 2021-- both from APSU. She has worked at University Student Success since 2023. Earlier on, she was an Academic Advisor for the College of STEM for Allied Health Science majors. Since 2025, she has worked on the CoBHS team as a Student Success Coordinator for Nursing Candidates. As a first generation college student, Sabrina is passionate about guiding students towards successful and fulfilling lives enriched by higher education.

Anthea Saez |
Anthea C. Saez joined the Student Success team as an academic advisor in September 2022. Currently she is a Student Success Coordinator for Health Professions under CoBHS. Previously worked in the natural dyeing/textile industry as an agricultural research associate within the R&D department in Springfield TN. Before moving to Clarksville, Anthea worked as a high school science teacher at Harmony Science Academy in El Paso, Texas, as a success coach and adjunct professor for biology at Central Carolina Community College in NC. Anthea's graduate studies included research experience within large animal food safety (microbiology), agricultural education and curriculum development, and research project management experience, including international research in Costa Rica and Honduras within an animal science food safety and food security setting.

Sarah Smith |
Sarah has been a part of the APSU community since 2019. Prior to becoming an Academic Advisor, she served as a Student Success Coach for the College of Behavioral and Health Sciences, where she developed a passion for guiding students toward success. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Austin Peay State University in May 2025. During her time as a student, Sarah was actively involved on campus as a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority, The National Society of Leadership and Success, and Omicron Delta Kappa. Sarah enjoys working closely with students to support their personal growth, academic success, and long-term goal achievement.

Makeba Webb

Makeba Webb is no stranger to Austin Peay State University. Before becoming an Academic Advisor, she served in several roles across APSU, including positions in the Office of the Registrar, Admissions Office, and Veterans Upward Bound program. She left APSU in 2014 and later earned her Master of Business Administration from Bethel University in 2015, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Makeba has remained deeply connected to the APSU community through her involvement with the APSU Alumni Association. She has served multiple terms as president of the African American Alumni Chapter and also served a term as president of the National APSU Alumni Association. Through these leadership roles, she has continued to demonstrate her commitment to APSU and its students, alumni, and broader community. Student success—from Pre-K through post-high school—has always been Makeba’s passion. She is committed to helping students overcome obstacles, connecting them with the resources they need, and exhausting every avenue possible to help them reach their finish line. Her dedication to student achievement and her belief in the potential of every student are at the heart of her work. Outside of the office, Makeba enjoys spending time with her children and family, shopping—especially thrifting—and cheering from the sidelines at baseball and softball fields.

Taylor Tatterson

Taylor Tatterson joined the Austin Peay community in 2026 as an Academic Advisor. Before coming to APSU, Taylor earned both a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Sport Management from WVU. She spent several years at West Virginia University, advancing from a Student Tutor to an Academic Counselor and Learning Specialist. This progression provided firsthand experience helping students overcome challenges, celebrate accomplishments, and build confidence throughout their college experience. Taylor enjoys connecting with students, encouraging their personal and academic growth, and supporting them as they work toward their goals.
