NPHC sororities and fraternities recruit members at various times of the year. Membership
intake is advertised on campus through fliers labeled “Interest Meeting,” “Informational,”
“Rush Tea” or “Meet N Greet.” All students are welcome to attend these events and
there is no cost to attend.
To learn more about APSU’s NPHC chapters, interested students should plan to attend
the NPHC Convocation during each semester (September 7th, 2017 and January 18th, 2017).
Students interested in a specific chapter are advised to watch for recruitment flyers
and learn about the organization on the chapter or national organization Web site.
To be eligible for membership intake, a student must be enrolled full-time on Austin
Peay’s main campus, have earned 12 course credits at APSU and have a GPA of at least
2.5 (some organizations may have higher expectations to join). In addition to academic achievement, NPHC organizations consider a student’s character,
leadership within the campus and greater Clarksville community, and service/philanthropic
commitment to advancing our community.
