APSU determines they would like a new program
and begins work on the Letter of Notification (LON)
LON Submitted to Academic Affairs for first review September/October Planning year 1
Submit LON to THEC for initial approval January: Planning Year 2
Receive Final approval from THEC for the LON May: Planning Year 2
External Review July/August: Planning Year 2
Response to External Review September/October: Planning Year 2
Final approval from THEC to send to Board October: Planning Year 2
Placed on THEC Meeting agenda November: Planning Year 2
THEC Commission Approval January: Implementation Year
Implement Program August 2025: Implementation Year
