Space Assignment Process

  1. Reassigned, reclassified or newly acquired space becomes available

  2. Space Allocation Request submitted

  3. Space Allocation Committee reviews request

    1. Recommendation Submitted

      1. If Yes: President Approves?

      2. If NoBased on feedback, resubmit request?

        1. If No: End

        2. If Yes: Return to Step 2

    2. New use is reflected in PFIS by UDC

      1. Is new use a Functional Change?

        • If No: End

        • If Yes: Proceed

          • UDC submits to state

          • THEC review

          • Will the change of use require construction?

            • If No: End

            • If Yes: Proceed

              • SBC Approval

              • Construction

              • End

 


 

Protocol for Academic Departments to Restrict Classrooms

  1. Determine if the classroom is restricted

  2. Computer Program/software determines most efficient use of space based on academic department input parameters

  3. Assign classrooms based on most efficient use of space

  4. Courses not assigned by the computer program are assigned by the OTR

  5. End
