The Gov Says is Austin Peay State University’s most critical mass email channel, reserved for urgent, time-sensitive communications that affect the entire campus community. Use this channel only when immediate awareness or action is required by all students and/or employees.

How to Request a Gov Says Email

  1. Prepare Your Message:

    • Keep the subject line brief and action-oriented (max 50 characters)
    • Use clear, direct language and prioritize the most important information first
    • Include who, what, when, where, why, and how
  2. Submit the Request:

    • Complete the Gov Says Request Form
    • Attach supporting documentation if needed
    • Identify required approvals in your submission
  3. Approval & Distribution:

    • PR & Marketing will review, request any necessary revisions, and confirm eligibility
    • Once approved, the message will be scheduled for distribution
    • For emergencies, call 931‑221‑7868 after submitting online
