Omicron Delta Kappa Membership & Application (Austin Peay State University)

Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) is the national leadership honor society that recognizes and encourages achievement across key areas of campus life. Below are the selection criteria, eligibility standards, and the application timeline for the APSU Circle.

Selection Criteria

ODK recognizes sustained achievement and leadership in the following areas:

• Scholarship

• Athletics

• Campus or Community Service

• Social and Religious Activities

• Campus Government

• Journalism, Speech, and Mass Media

• Creative and Performing Arts

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for membership, students must meet all minimum requirements.

Residency (APSU)

• At least one semester in residence at Austin Peay State University

• Minimum of 12 graded credit hours earned at APSU

Academic Standing

• Undergraduate: Sophomore, junior, or senior standing (minimum 30 graded credit hours earned). Candidates must rank in the top 35% of their respective class based on cumulative GPA.

• Graduate: Completed at least one semester at APSU and maintain a 3.50 cumulative GPA.

Character & Leadership

• Demonstrated exemplary character, scholarship, service, and leadership in campus life

• Good citizenship within the academic and larger community

• Commitment to fellowship and dedication to democratic ideals

Application Timeline & Process

Note: Specific dates may vary each semester.

Fall 2025 Cycle (for Spring 2026 Initiation)

• Applications for Spring 2026 will be available soon.

• Eligible students will receive an email invitation from the APSU Circle Coordinator, Tammy Bryant (bryantt@apsu.edu), with instructions to apply.

• A unique application link will be emailed directly to students who meet the minimum qualifications.

How to Apply

• Monitor your APSU email for the invitation and application link.

• Confirm you meet the eligibility requirements listed above.

• Complete and submit the application by the deadline specified in your email.

If You Are Selected

• Initiation Fee: $110 (due upon selection; payment instructions will be provided in your notification).

• Ceremony: Attendance at the in-person initiation ceremony in the fall semester is required.
