Occupational Health and Safety

All personnel working with research animals must comply with the APSU Environmental, Health, and Safety Policy (4:038).

Additional guidance on occupational health practices in animal research settings is available through the Institute for Laboratory Animal Research's Occupational Health and Safety in the Care and Use of Research Animals.


Zoonotic Diseases

Zoonotic diseases are illnesses that can be transmitted between animals and humans. Personnel working with research animals should be aware of the risks associated with their specific species.
