Austin Peay State University’s Summer Programs give high school students hands-on experience in nursing and other health professions through immersive camps, real-world learning, and direct exposure to clinical pathways. Whether students are just starting to explore or already focused on a specific field, these programs offer a meaningful first step.
Spend a week inside APSU’s School of Nursing, practicing core nursing skills in real simulation labs and learning directly from faculty. You’ll explore patient care, meet current nursing students, and get a realistic feel for nursing school before you commit to a career path.
Choose a one-day intensive focused on a single area of nursing, such as critical care or community and mental health. Step into the role of a nurse using high-fidelity manikins and live patient actors, working alongside APSU faculty and current students to make real clinical decisions.
