University Hearing Board
The University Hearing Board is a panel of faculty, staff, and students who decide cases involving violations of the Student Code of Conduct. When a student chooses to have a board decide the outcome of their case, the University Hearing Board hears it.
The board may meet during the summer.
Membership Requirements
The board has nine members, all appointed by the President for a term of one academic year:
- Five students
- Two selected automatically from the Student Tribunal Justices of the Student Government Association (SGA)
- Three selected at large from the student body. These students must meet the same qualifications and go through the same selection process as Student Tribunal Justices, as listed in the APSU SGA Constitution.
- Two faculty members
- Two administrators
The President also appoints student, faculty, and administrator alternates for a term of one academic year. Alternates serve when regular members are absent.
