Welcome to Austin Peay State University's English Language Institute. We offer English language programs for both international and domestic students.

Who Can Apply?

International F-1 Visa Students

  • Students seeking full-time English language study

  • Students pursuing both English language and APSU undergraduate admission

  • Transfer students from other U.S. institutions

General Admission Students

  • U.S. citizens

  • U.S. permanent residents

  • Other visa holders (B, F-2, J-1, J-2, L-1, L-2, etc.)

  • No visa required

Programs Available

Intensive English Program (IEP)

  • Full-time instruction in speaking, listening, reading, writing, and grammar

  • Classes held in McReynolds building, APSU main campus

Application Process

Application Fees

  • Intensive English Program: $50 USD non-refundable application fee

    • Valid for one year if the minimum class size isn't met

  • Private Language Instruction: No application fee
