Austin Peay Sports Network (APSN)
The award-winning Sports Communication program focuses on the structure, strategies and techniques of live sports production of APSU and area prep sports through the Austin Peay Sports Network (APSN). Students can gain valuable hands-on experience from the day you step on campus as a freshman. You do not have to wait until you are an upper-classmen to be part of our APSN production crew.
- Receive expert training on professional-grade equipment that prepares you for work in the sports industry
- Obtain constructive feedback from experienced faculty, staff and industry professionals
- Gain live sports experience as a camera operator, producer, director, audio engineer, graphics operator, replay technician and technical director
- Audition for on-air opportunities as a play-by-play announcer, color analyst or sideline reporter
Scholarship opportunities are available for interested students to join the APSN production team. Part-time opportunities and internships are also available for qualified candidates to join ESPN+ in the production of APSU athletic broadcasts.
