Partnership with the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts
The Department of Theatre and Dance partners with the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts to provide:

Artists-in-Residence — Professional artists who join APSU to share specialized expertise with students, faculty, and the community

Visiting Artists — Industry professionals offering interactive lectures, Q&A sessions, and hands-on workshops

Student Production Enhancements — Professional support including orchestra members, guest directors, choreographers, costume designers, and producers
Student Opportunities
The APSU Department of Theatre and Dance produces four major mainstage productions annually, plus several one-act plays, and a summer workshop and production. Students gain valuable experience both on stage and behind the scenes.
Working with talented and knowledgeable faculty, students develop their performance, creativity, and professional development skills through courses ranging from playwriting to radio production.
