Enrollment Requirements

Loans

Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours to be considered for loans. Graduate students must be enrolled in 3 hours of graduate-level courses.

Grants

Grants will be prorated based on enrollment hours for students not enrolled full time (12 or more credit hours).

TN Reconnect Grant

Reconnect recipients must be enrolled in at least 6 hours by the Pell Recalculation Date to be reviewed for eligibility. Permanent loss of the scholarship will result if you change your enrollment below 6 hours after the census date.

Lottery Scholarship

Lottery recipients will receive the full Lottery award if enrolled full time by the Pell Recalculation Date. Permanent loss of the scholarship will result if you change your enrollment status after the census date.

TN Promise Scholarship

Promise recipients must be enrolled in at least 12 hours by the Pell Recalculation Date to be reviewed for eligibility. Permanent loss of the scholarship will result if you change your enrollment status after the census date.

Other Scholarships

Most scholarships require full time enrollment. You can check the requirements for your scholarship.

  • If student enrolls in both Fall I and Fall II, completes Fall I, and subsequently drops Fall II after Fall I has ended, a return of Title IV funds is required and may result in a billing to the student. 
  • If student enrolls in both Fall I and Fall II, drops Fall II courses before Fall I ends, a return of Title IV funds is not required.
  • If student never enrolls Fall II, R2T4 is not required.
