Test Prep Information

Find information regarding test preparation and study resources for tests offered by the APSU Academic Testing Center below.

ACT Testing (National and On Campus)

Go to www.actstudent.org for official study information.

• Choose Test Prep from the banner menu at the top.
• From the drop-down menu, you'll have options such as Test Prep, Free ACT Test Prep, and the Official ACT Prep Guide

Go to www.tntel.info to access the Tennessee Electronic Library

• Click on the green Test Prep tile 
• Click on the Peterson's Test and Career Prep tile 
• Type ACT in the Search box to see resource options

ACCUPLACER Placement Test

Go to studentportal.accuplacer.org

• Creat an account--it's free!
• APSU administers the Reading, Writing, and QRAS (Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra & Statistics) exams, so be sure you are preparing for the correct test(s).
• This site has features like Learn As You Go and the ability to save your Practice Test history.

CLEP Exams

Go to clep.collegeboard.org

• In the banner menu at the top, choose CLEP Exams
• In the drop-down menu, choose Prepare for a CLEP Exam

You can view free resources as well as materials available for purchase.

Want to take CLEP exams for FREE?  Check out the Modern States prep program, a program funded by a federal grant that provides preparation for all CLEP exams.  Use their program to prepare and you can take the exam at no cost to you.  Check them out at www.modernstates.org. 

DSST Exams

Go to getcollegecredit.com

• From the banner menu at the top of the page, choose DSST Exams
• Click on Test Preparation
• Access test preparation materials available for purchase as well as free preparation resources for qualifying veterans, military service members, and their families.
• Scroll down to the Prometric Practice Tests tile for a live demo!

MAT (Miller Analogies) Exam

Go to www.milleranalogies.com

• Under the menu tabs, click on Preparing for the MAT
• Free resources include a downloadable study guide, practice test, and a Test Taking Strategies guide.

TEAS Exam

Go to www.atitesting.com

• From the Select a Site below options, choose “I am preparing for or taking the TEAS”
• On the next screen, click on TEAS on the banner menu at the top.
• Hover over “Prep for TEAS” to see study options available. NOTE: All study resources listed are available for purchase.
