Reporting Hazing

Austin Peay State University is deeply committed to cultivating a safe, inclusive, and respectful campus environment for all. Hazing, in any form, is strictly prohibited and directly undermines the values of our community. Your proactive decision to report any hazing incidents you witness or experience is not just encouraged, but absolutely vital. By speaking up, you play a critical role in preventing further harm, upholding our shared standards, ensuring accountability, and actively fostering a culture where every student feels secure and supported. Reporting is the most powerful tool we have to protect our community and reinforce that hazing has no place at APSU.

Reports of hazing and/or retaliation can be submitted via:

  • Maxient reporting system (online)

  • Directly to the Office of Community Care and Standards

  • University Police (if immediate safety is a concern)

  • Title IX Coordinator (if behavior includes sex-based discrimination)

  • Athletics Compliance Officer or Student Life staff
